Upon our passing from our current human existence, how long are we cognizant of being who we have grown used to being over the past lifetime? I understand that the blinders apparently come off, but as an example, when I die, will I feel like "Oh crap...this is it...I'm going, going, gone! Oh, hey, I know you guys! Wow! So this is what its all about? That wasn't so bad..." and start cataloging all the differences and capabilities now available? I guess I'm trying to figure out if I will think for awhile as "scott" with a view of the afterlife, and if so, for how long before I realize I've been there for ever and I'm just coming home. Sorry, that's a little bumpy...
In a nutshell, am I stepping through the door into instantaneous full realization of all I am, or do I retain consciousness from the perspective of the human I was and enjoy realizing the vastly larger consciousness now unfolding before me? If the latter, for how long before it all hits?
My past life meditations have only shown me a sense of relief upon passing, but no detail. | |
