I am trying to understand the concept of time.  I understand how it is relative, from the Einsteinian perspective and from that of an hourly employee watching the seconds tick by more and more slowly as it gets closer to 5 pm.  I understand it is a sequencing device enabling us to track our literal progress through the conscious reality we perceive through our five senses.

What I cannot quite get my head around is the idea that in spirit, our true home, there is no time as everything happens at once.   Try as I might, I simply have been unable to work through any kind of scenario that makes that understandable for me. I can say it...that all the lives I have lived on earth and in other realms all occurred in the now, in an instant; that while I sit here typing this I am also simultaneously being born in 1920, 1909, 1888, 1829, 1743, etc.  I don't have a problem accepting the idea, I just cannot see how it works.

Can anyone share a simile, allegory or any other example that can provide me a sense of how we "don't have time"? (sorry)

I appreciate any input or opinions...love and light.

Hi Scott,

Yes.  We have time.  Lots of time. Infinite amounts of it.  The difference between spiritual time (non-physical, non-linear time) and physical "linear" time is totally a brain smoosher.  It can make your brain feel like a small over-ripe melon that is losing all internal consistency.  Yes.. thinking too much about it can make one nutty, loopy, INSANE.... if you want to be insane.  So I'll try to give an analogous example.   Imagine that your spiritual being exists within a huge, gigantic, supercolossal movie theatre.  The kind of movie theatre where you can see both it, and it's gigantic parking lot - from space.... and not just from space, but from the moon.... or beyond the moon.  Really, really FAR OUT there.

Now imagine that in the spiritual realm, all of the movies in this movie theatre start at 7 pm EST, and they all run for as long as they run, but they all start at the same time - 7 pm EST - or Existent Spiritual Time if you will.   Now, 7 pm EST is really interesting, because it isn't related to a clock, but to the presence of consciousness available to watch the movie.  So, for example - if your consciousness decided to hang out in the lobby getting a snack before the show and didn't make it into any particular show until it was darn good and ready, or perhaps done eating a box of Good and Plenty, the time it arrived at the movie would still be 7 pm EST, the movie would start as soon as your consciousness showed up for it... and for the purposes of this conversation, that would be 7 pm EST... the same time all the other movies of your being start.  Now usually your consciousness will get finished hanging out at the snack bar in the lobby, and pick ONE of the movies to go see and learn from, and be very happy just to stay in the particular theatre where that particular movie is playing, and watch that ONE movie, all the way through.  When your consciousness does that - the plot, the storyline, the action - all make up the "physical and linear" part of your "beingness" movie.  So when your consciousness is watching the movie in the movie theatre - that is analogous to what we consider physical, linear time... and it's necessary time - because you can't really learn too much from anything without any plot, storyline or action, and you can't have those without physical linear time, as well as the innate seperation of the consciousnesses who are willing to play the parts of the characters in the movie.  But the "time" you have to watch the movie isn't related to the clock - it's related to your experience of watching the movie - or being IN the movie  - of being the consciousness involved in the experience of plot, storyline, action, and character...   Now, if your consciousness likes to take frequent bathroom breaks and sneek into the doors of other movies that are playing simultaneously... it CAN do that, it's not the usual thing... but it can do it....  it just needs to remember that it is, in effect, breaking all the supposed laws of physical time travel... but your consciousness is not physical -  so it doesn't matter. Since it doesn't matter -it's not physical, and the laws of physical time travel do not apply to it.  Thus - all time happens "now" for your consciousness, because all time happens at the moment your consciousness shows up to experience it.
